This page explains how to request deletion of your Wayg account (developer: Wayg) and the data associated with it. You can delete your account yourself from within the Wayg mobile app, or contact us if you are unable to access the app.
Delete your account from the app
- Open the Wayg app and sign in.
- Tap the More tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the Account Settings section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete account in the confirmation sheet.
If you own a business on Wayg, you must delete the business first: go to More → Business Settings → Delete business, then delete your account. Your account is permanently removed once no business is attached to it.
If you can't access the app
If you have uninstalled the app, are locked out, or otherwise cannot complete the steps above, email us at support@getwayg.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Delete my account." We will verify your identity and process the request. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove or irreversibly anonymize:
- Your account identity — name, email address, phone number, and password are erased immediately. Your email and phone number are released so they can be reused for a new account.
- Your business and operational data — inventory and materials, products, orders, purchases, invoices, invitations, and shared view links are permanently deleted, typically within 24 hours.
What we retain, and why
Some records are kept after deletion where we are required to by law or need them for legitimate business purposes such as accounting, fraud prevention, and audit:
- Payment and billing records — transaction and subscription payment history, retained for financial, tax, and legal compliance.
- Messaging history — messages exchanged with the Wayg bot, retained as part of the business record.
- Audit logs — an internal, immutable activity log used for security and integrity.
These records are no longer linked to your identifying account information once your account is anonymized, and are retained only for as long as required by applicable law.
